How the concrete weight calculator works
Normal-weight concrete is about 2,400 kg/m³ — heavier reinforced, lighter as aerated or lightweight mix. Multiply the volume by that density.
The figure that surprises people is the load: a 100 mm slab weighs 240 kg per square meter, so a modest 4 × 5 m slab is nearly five tonnes. That is well past what a small trailer or a domestic floor can take.

How much does a cubic meter of concrete weigh?
About 2,400 kg for normal-weight mix, or 2,500 once reinforced.
How much does a 100 mm slab weigh per square meter?
240 kg — which is why a modest domestic slab runs into several tonnes very quickly.
Can my trailer take it?
A typical box trailer is rated around 750 kg. That is 0.3 m³ of concrete — less than a third of a cubic meter.
What is lightweight concrete?
Mix using expanded clay or shale aggregate, at around 1,900 kg/m³. Aerated block (AAC) goes down to 600.
Does the weight change as it cures?
Slightly — some mix water evaporates. The difference is a couple of per cent and is normally ignored.
