Overview

GlobalCalc is designed from the ground up to minimise data collection. We do not require you to create an account. We do not store your financial inputs. We do not sell, share, or monetise personal data.

What data we collect

We collect very limited data:

  • Anonymous usage analytics — page views, general geographic region (country-level only), device type, and referring source, collected via Cloudflare Web Analytics with no personal identifiers.
  • Theme and region preferences — stored locally in your browser's localStorage. These never leave your device.

We do not collect: names, email addresses, financial data, IP addresses linked to individuals, or any personally identifiable information through normal use of the site.

Your calculations

All calculations are performed entirely within your browser. Your financial inputs (income, loan amounts, expenses, etc.) are never transmitted to GlobalCalc's servers or any third party. They exist only in your browser's memory while the page is open and are discarded when you close or navigate away.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate site usage. Cloudflare Web Analytics is a privacy-first product that does not use cookies, does not track individuals across sites, and does not collect personal data. It provides us with anonymised, aggregated metrics only.

No additional analytics tools (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, etc.) are used on this site.

Cookies & local storage

GlobalCalc does not use cookies for tracking or advertising. We use browser localStorage to remember two preferences between visits:

  • Theme preference (e.g., Auto, Dark, Light, Accessible) — stored as gc-theme
  • Region preference (e.g., Australia) — stored as gc-region

These are functional preferences only. You can clear them at any time through your browser's developer tools or by clearing site data. See our Cookie Policy for full details.

Third-party services

GlobalCalc uses the following third-party services:

  • Cloudflare Pages & CDN — hosting and content delivery. Cloudflare processes standard HTTP request metadata. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics — privacy-respecting, cookie-free analytics.

We may add advertising services (e.g., Google AdSense) in the future. This policy will be updated prior to any such changes, and any ads will be clearly labelled.

Your rights

As we collect no personal data through normal site use, there is generally nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you have contacted us by email and wish to have that correspondence deleted, please email hello@globalcalc.net.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or California, you have additional rights under GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA respectively. Given the minimal data we collect, these rights are unlikely to be applicable in practice, but we will honour all valid requests.
