How the win percentage calculator works
The simple version is wins ÷ games played. Where draws exist, most competitions count a draw as half a win, so the formula becomes (wins + draws ÷ 2) ÷ games — the convention in association football, chess and North American leagues that allow ties. Some sports instead ignore draws entirely and divide by decided games only, which flatters a side that draws often.
Both are shown, because a record of 10-5-5 is 50% by the half-credit rule and 66.7% counting only decided games. Quoting one without saying which is how the same season becomes two different claims.
